A living focal point.
A manageable care routine.

An aquarium can bring colour, movement and a distinctive point of interest to a business interior. Its value starts with a setting that suits the aquarium: a good viewing position, appropriate livestock and reliable access for care. We plan around how your space is used, as well as how the finished display will look.

A managed service brings installation decisions and ongoing upkeep into the same conversation. Agreed maintenance visits can reduce the amount of aquarium management your staff need to handle, with clear everyday responsibilities between visits.

Hotels & hospitality

A lobby or lounge aquarium can create a welcoming focal point for arriving guests. Positioning should allow comfortable viewing without narrowing walkways or interfering with luggage, reception work or access for maintenance.

Restaurants & dining spaces

An aquarium can complement the atmosphere and provide a visual feature from nearby tables. Planning needs to consider seating, reflections, equipment sound, heat sources and a suitable route for servicing away from food preparation and busy service areas.

Offices & reception areas

An aquarium can give visitors and colleagues a shared point of interest. Viewing height, screen glare, nearby desks and access to equipment matter, along with a named contact who can report changes between visits.

Waiting rooms

A well-positioned display gives visitors something to observe while they wait. Consider clear sightlines, wheelchair and pushchair access, secure equipment and a location that keeps the aquarium out of busy circulation routes.

Suitable retail & shared spaces

A display may suit a customer lounge, showroom or other hospitality space where there is room for both viewing and care. Public access, nearby stock, cleaning routines and protection from knocks should shape whether a location is suitable.

Care that fits your premises

Tell us when the space is busiest, how contractors gain access and who can authorise work. Visit arrangements and the tasks included are agreed around the aquarium and practical access, rather than assuming every business needs the same service.

Saltwater & reef aquariums.

A reef aquarium offers the colour and detail of marine fish and corals. It also needs a coordinated approach to filtration, lighting, circulation and water quality. We discuss the livestock you hope to keep and the space available before deciding on equipment and a care plan.

Maintenance access belongs in the design from the start: room to reach pumps, clean filtration, service lighting and manage replacement water. For a commercial reef, these practical details are as important as the view from the room.

Plan the whole aquarium service.

Whether you are starting from an empty space or replacing an existing setup, the scope is agreed around your premises and the support you need. Installation and recurring maintenance can be discussed together; ongoing visits are optional.

1. Consultation & site discussion

Share your business setting, location, photographs, approximate dimensions and intended budget if you have one. We discuss the aquarium’s purpose, access restrictions and what needs assessing on site before the project can be specified.

2. Aquarium & care planning

Agree the proposed style, size, equipment and livestock goals alongside delivery access, power and water arrangements. Identify any building or electrical work that needs arranging separately, and discuss initial costs and ongoing care as distinct parts of the scope.

3. Installation & setup

The agreed aquarium, equipment and layout are brought together with access and working arrangements planned in advance. A filled tank is not automatically ready for livestock: biological filtration and water testing guide gradual stocking as the system establishes.

4. Handover & optional recurring care

Agree a named staff contact, feeding arrangements and everyday checks. Where recurring care is wanted, discuss visit frequency, included tasks and how observations or concerns will be shared between visits. The routine should reflect the aquarium as it develops.

Existing aquarium servicing
& recurring maintenance.

You do not need a new installation to work with AquaCare. If your business already has an aquarium, tell us its size and type, the equipment in use, current care arrangements and any concerns. Photographs and recent water-test results, if available, help explain the starting point.

Review the system before agreeing the work

An established aquarium may need routine care, equipment attention or help with a specific issue. The appropriate scope can include water testing, suitable water changes, glass and accessible surface cleaning, filtration and equipment checks, and observations of fish and corals. Tasks depend on the system and its condition.

If repairs, replacement equipment or changes to the setup appear necessary, these should be discussed as part of the proposed work. A servicing visit does not automatically include every possible repair or upgrade.

Share the ongoing responsibilities

Recurring visits can take much of the scheduled cleaning, testing and equipment care off your staff’s task list. Staff still need an agreed routine for feeding, observing livestock and checking that equipment is operating between visits, with additional tasks depending on the setup.

Discuss who covers absences, how access is arranged and who to contact if something changes. The aim is a clear, practical division of care rather than assuming the aquarium can be left unattended.

See our aquarium maintenance and servicing page for more detail, or ask about care for your existing business aquarium.

Planning a commercial aquarium.

You do not need a finished specification. These details help us assess the proposal and give you a useful next step.

Space, position & support

Share the available dimensions, viewing height and the surrounding layout. Allow for people moving through the space, nearby heat or direct sunlight and the weight of a filled aquarium. Support requirements for a large system need establishing before installation.

Delivery & building access

Note door widths, stairs, lifts, tight turns and unloading or parking arrangements. Include access all the way to the final position, together with any restrictions on when installation and later visits can take place.

Power & water practicalities

Show where sockets and water supplies are located and how water changes could be carried out. Safe power, splash protection, replacement-water storage where needed and a suitable disposal route should be considered. Required electrical or building work must be identified before setup.

Style, size & livestock goals

Tell us whether you prefer a marine fish display, a coral reef, a planted tropical aquarium or a coldwater setup. Intended livestock, their adult size and compatibility help determine a suitable tank and equipment; photographs of styles you like can help explain your ideas.

Room for maintenance

Allow space to open cabinets, reach filtration, lift covers and remove equipment for servicing. A display built tightly into furniture may look neat but still needs practical access, including a route for water-change equipment that works in an occupied business.

Ongoing care & budget

Decide who can handle daily checks and feeding, and whether you want recurring visits. Consider equipment running costs, consumables and replacements as well as installation. Share any target opening date so realistic setup and stocking stages can be discussed.

Talk Through Your Requirements

Leicester, Leicestershire
& the East Midlands.

AquaCare provides aquarium services for businesses in Leicester and across Leicestershire, including Hinckley, Coalville, Loughborough, Melton Mowbray and Market Harborough. We also welcome commercial enquiries from the wider East Midlands, including Nottingham and Derby.

Send your town or postcode, aquarium details and building access arrangements so we can confirm availability and a practical service plan. For recurring maintenance, both the journey and access to your premises need to work for the visit schedule.

Our existing service-area information also includes Northampton and neighbouring Coventry. If your premises are outside Leicester or you are unsure about coverage, include your location in your enquiry so arrangements can be confirmed.

Useful answers before you enquire.

Do you install aquariums for commercial premises?

Yes. AquaCare provides commercial aquarium installation and setup for suitable hotels, restaurants, offices, reception areas, waiting rooms and retail or hospitality spaces. The proposal depends on the available space, access, practical services and livestock goals. Share photographs and approximate measurements to start the discussion.

Can you maintain an aquarium our business already owns?

Yes. Enquiries are welcome for existing saltwater, reef, tropical and coldwater aquariums. Send the tank size, equipment details, current care routine and any concerns so we can discuss the condition of the system and an appropriate maintenance or servicing scope.

Are saltwater and reef aquariums suitable for businesses?

They can be, where the space, equipment and ongoing care arrangements are suitable. Saltwater and reef systems are AquaCare’s speciality. Planning considers the intended fish and corals, filtration, lighting, water movement and access for maintenance before a setup is agreed.

Can we arrange recurring commercial maintenance?

Yes. Recurring maintenance can be discussed for a new or existing aquarium. Visit frequency and included tasks depend on aquarium size, livestock, equipment, condition and the care handled between visits. Access arrangements are agreed for your premises.

Will our staff still need to look after the aquarium?

Yes. Professional maintenance can reduce staff involvement in scheduled upkeep, but feeding, observing livestock and checking equipment remain part of everyday care. Agree who is responsible, including cover for absences, and what else the individual system needs between visits.

Which areas do you serve?

We work with businesses in Leicester and Leicestershire and welcome enquiries across the wider East Midlands, including Nottingham and Derby. Include your town or postcode so availability and practical arrangements for installation or recurring visits can be confirmed.

How much does a commercial aquarium service cost?

Pricing varies with aquarium size and type, equipment, livestock goals, system condition, access, location and the scope and frequency of care. A new installation and maintenance of an existing tank need different information. Share what you have or want through the enquiry form so the proposed work can be discussed before a quote is provided.

Can installation and care be arranged around business activity?

Tell us your busy periods, access rules and any restrictions on work in customer areas. These are considered when agreeing the project or visit arrangements. Timing depends on availability and the work involved; a specific appointment pattern should be confirmed before work is agreed.
