How often should my aquarium be professionally maintained?
It depends on tank size, stocking, filtration, feeding and the care you do between visits. A reef system may need a different approach from a freshwater aquarium. We discuss these details before suggesting a schedule, and the routine can be reviewed as the aquarium changes.
Can you maintain an aquarium you did not install?
Yes, we welcome enquiries about existing aquariums. Tell us about the setup, how long it has been running and any current concerns. An initial assessment helps establish the work needed and whether ongoing care is suitable.
Do you offer one-off aquarium cleaning or servicing?
You can enquire about a one-off service or help with an existing aquarium. The scope depends on its condition and your concerns. Some problems may need follow-up or changes to the care routine; a single clean may not address the underlying cause.
Do you look after reef, tropical and coldwater tanks?

What should I prepare before a maintenance visit?
Share any recent water test results, equipment details and changes you have noticed. Let us know about access restrictions and where the aquarium is located. We can then agree what access or arrangements are needed before the visit.
Will I still need to look after the tank between visits?
Yes. Feeding, observing livestock and checking that equipment is running remain part of everyday aquarium care. What else is needed depends on the system. Discuss who will handle these tasks, especially for an aquarium in a business.
